2026 Writing Project:
Gemini vs Gemini

I’ve dabbled in writing fiction over the years, but never given it the proverbial ‘10,000 hours’. I’ve also dabbled in all of Generative AI’s capabilities recently, and wondered if creative writing is even needed any more.

This project aims to bring these two ideas together in a simple experiment – each post, I* will write a short piece, and will get Gemini AI to write a similar short piece (with a reverse engineered prompt). The questions for you all are twofold – could you tell which one was me, and more importantly, which one did you enjoy more?
